Nalpeiron License Activation

Nalpeiron is the provider of the copy protection software used by Systems2win.
Other than Microsoft, it is the only part of your Systems2win application that is not written by Systems2win.

Troubleshooting diagnostic tools

If you are experiencing trouble with license activation or authentication, then these tools will help diagnose the problem

Information to provide when requesting support for license activation

When reporting an issue with license activation,
please email ALL of the following to info@systems2win.com:

  1. A screen shot of the pop-up dialog window

    It might say something like, "That license number already used."

  2. A screen shot of the window that appears when you select
    Excel > Systems2win menu > Setup > About Systems2win templates

    A more detailed and useful numbered error message will appear at the bottom of that window

    Tip: If there is no Systems2win menu
    then your problem is not related to Nalpeiron License Activation.
    See FAQ for Systems2win menu disappeared.

  3. The diagnostic results file from the Nalpeiron Support Utility
    • Download the zip file
    • Unzip to any temporary folder
    • Move the unzipped NalpeironSupportUtility.exe file
      into the folder where Systems2win is installed

      Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\zSystems2win\ or C:\Program Files\zSystems2win\

    • Run the (unzipped) exe file

      If you have administrative permissions, double-click it

      If you don't have adminstrative permissions, right-click > Run As Administrator

    • Then email the resulting c:\TechSupportResults.txt diagnostic results file
      (along with everything else above)
      to info@systems2win.com for analysis

 

License Advisor V6/7

Use this only if requested by Systems2win

  • Download the zipped file
  • Unzip to any temporary folder
  • Move the unzipped License Advisor.exe file
    into the folder where Systems2win is installed

    Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\zSystems2win\ or C:\Program Files\zSystems2win\

  • Double-click the (unzipped) exe file to run it
  • Then email the 2 resulting diagnostic files to info@systems2win.com for analysis.
    1. c:\LicenseReportFile.bin
    2. c:\drive-1.bin

      The number of the drive-X.bin file may vary

BelArc Advisor

Use this only if requested by Systems2win

For perplexing problems — this utility provides a complete snapshot of every aspect of your unique computer installation that might be relevant for troubleshooting.

Download the zip file (using right-click Save Target As or Save Link As),
unzip the downloaded file,
then double-click the unzipped file to run it,
and then email the resulting html file to info@systems2win.com for analysis.

How to install the Nalpeiron Windows Service  (nlssrv32.exe)

Use the Nalpeiron Service Installer

Download the zip file (using right-click Save Target As or Save Link As),
unzip the downloaded file,
then double-click the unzipped file to run it.

You must double-click the unzipped file — not the zip file.

How to repair the Nalpeiron Windows Service  (nlssrv32.exe)

After running the Nalpeiron Support Utility (above)...

IF your results file contains the following message...

------------- Checking Service Installation -------------

The service path is: C:\Windows\system32\nlssrv32.exe

The service has been installed in the wrong directory. It should be
installed as: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\nlssrv32.exe
Remove the file nlssrv32.exe from system32 folder and
place it in the SYSWOW64 folder.
When you are finished, run the Service Repair Utility to properly
start the service.

THEN use the Service Repair Utility.

Download the zip file (using right-click Save Target As or Save Link As),
unzip the downloaded file,
then right-click the unzipped file and choose "Run as administrator".

NOTES:

This is a repair utility only and is not designed to start the service if it has never been installed.
