then use the same lean leadership tools and systems that you use to launch any team.

Find and open your template

Save your working document

following the usual document storage and naming conventions established by your leaders

Open a Blank Sheet

Rename your new sheet.

Or... Insert Sheet

As an alternative to opening a stand-alone document (as instructed above),

you also have the option to Insert Sheet into any other Excel workbook.

After each round of value stream map improvement

update your Value Stream Plan

As each Kaizen Event, Project, or Task is completed

keep your Value Stream Plan updated

(with special attention to ensuring that periodic reviews are completed as scheduled)

Every 3-6 months, do another Value Stream Mapping Event

A 12 month value stream mapping cycle is simply too long. Your team will get out of the habit of focusing on value stream flow, and 7 month old goals and guidelines simply become stale and neglected.
