and yet the images appear zoomed to 100% size - How to fix it — 0:00
Excel Ribbon bar > View > Zoom > 100%
And then you can change the zoom to any other desired size, and the bug won't happen again
(unless you save the document with some zoom other than 100%, and then when you re-open the document, you might need to repeat the fix)
